Things To Do

On the farm:

  • Fishing (rod rental available) R100 per kit per day (kit includes rod, some flies and a net)
  • Mountain biking (bring your own bikes)
  • Nature walks
  • Game viewing
  • Bird watching
  • Archery (bring your own bow and arrows). We have the bud's
  • Swimming  (small splash pool at the Lapa and a stream)
  • Games at the lapa - theres a cupboard at the lapa with lawn games such as Swing-Ball and French Bowls. Coming soon will be a basket ball net

The farm has 2 large trout dams stocked with a fisherman’s delight of Rainbow and Brown Trout.  We encourage catch and release, but you are welcome to keep your catch if you wish.  We operate on an honour system and ask R100 per kg to help us maintain stocking levels.  PLEASE NOTE - STRICTLY FLY FISHING

Red Hartebeest and Blesbok roam the back of the farm as well as many hares and migrant jackals although more difficult to spot.  We have also seen Civet, Duiker and Vervet monkeys on the farm and you are likely to see the neighbour’s Black Wildebeest and Springbok across the fence.

You are welcome to explore the farm on foot or bike.  We are busy developing proper mountain biking and hiking trails, in the meantime there is an abundance of wild life trails suitable for both, and over 4km of farm roads for more leisurely walks and rides. There is a stream and little rock pool that can be accessed by foot - its shallow and depending on the time of year, a surprising comfortable temperature to relax in. We also have a huge big rock (bigger than the other big rocks on the farm) which is an amazing viewing spot and popular venue for sundowners! Follow the signs to 'TOP OF THE WORLD' to find it.

There are plenty of bird species and we are proud to say that we have a resident Fish Eagle.

For the more adventurous an old quarry is situated on a remote section of the farm where 4x4 or motor cross bikes are welcome to enjoy themselves.  Mountain bikers might also find some challenges here.  We will very soon be introducing paintball.

For the kiddies we have a private treasure hunt on the farm (within boundary fences). You will find the clues in the info booklet in the cottage. Loads of fun!!
